Freemen's Meadow

A mixed use development of 815 Houses & Apartments adjacent to the river Soar in Leicester.

The urban design of this development responds to the opportunities and constraints of this large site in central Leicester. The project is constructed in phases around a clear and simple road system that includes a new bridge connecting the site to Leicester town centre. The buildings range from three to seven storeys in height, with two taller landmark buildings at either end of the site. The scheme was rated as ‘exemplary’ by CABE, scoring 84% in the recent housing audit, the highest scoring development in the East Midlands.
